Chobe Agrivision Company
In October 2011, AATIF made its initial investment of USD 10 million into the Zambian maize, wheat and soya bean farming operation Chobe Agrivision Company. AATIF's investment is utilised to expand the operations of Chobe and by investing in modern irrigation systems enabling the company to substantially improve regional food security by planting wheat even in months of low rainfall. In order to comply with AATIF's standards, social and environmental requirements have become an integral part of the loan agreement for the company to follow up on, including an action plan on occupational health & safety as well as preventative measures to combat malaria.
